ISR version certified by EASA

Tarbes, France, 30 August 2010 – DAHER-SOCATA today announced that the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) version of its multi-mission TBM very fast turboprop aircraft has received a Major Change Approval (MCA) from the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA).This MCA is applicable to all TBM 700 and 850 models, and will enable DAHER-SOCATA to present the ISR version of its TBM-MMA demonstrator to potential customers –... more

John and Martha King, owners of King Schools, were detained at gunpoint upon landing at Santa Barbara, Calif., Aug. 28 by police who mistook the Cessna 172 they were piloting for a Cessna 150 that had been stolen eight years earlier. Authorities discovered that the N number was incorrectly listed as stolen when they stopped the very same Cessna 172 in 2009.
