New helicopter flight school offers alternative teaching method

Flight training made to order

A new helicopter flight training organisation by the name of kayfly has recently been set up by entrepreneur Kay Stabenow at the Siegerland airport in Germany. Stabenow's company offers a wide range of helicopter flight training which starts with introductory flights to whet potential student's appetite, and goes all the way up to flight training to obtain the private helicopter pilots license (PPL-H).

Both, ground school lessons as well as flight training takes place at the Siegerland airport in individual training units. kayfly benefits from the existing well developed infrastructure of this location, a mutually beneficial deal indeed since the new enterprise also means a capacity increase for the airport.

Quite different from most flight schools kayfly does not offer training for groups and does not follow fixed teaching schedules. Instead, owner Stabenow counts on individual training for each of his helicopter students taylored to each client's needs.
