FAA STC for Cessna T 182 Series with the 3-blade prop MTV-9

Atting, October 2018 : MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the FAA STC SA04175NY for the next generation 3-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-9-B/200-52 on the Cessna T182, T182T, TR182 powered by the Lycoming engines TIO-540-AK1A or O-540-L3C5D (turbocharged in accordance with Cessna Drawing No. 2250065). This installation is already certified by EASA STC 10060691.



MT- Propeller has obtained the FAA’s STC for Cessna’s T 182 Series with its 3-blade prop MTV-9

MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht announced, that the installation features the following advantages:

- Improved climb performance by 7 % (MTOW, ISA conditions).
- Approx. 6 kg (13 lbs) less weight than the original propeller.
- Lower noise and vibration level.
- 2 kts faster depending on power setting and altitude.
- T182T and TR182 models comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010– „Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung“for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of a FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades.
