More space for piston engine aircraft

Augsburg Air Service

Augsburg Air Service has successfully relocated the department of piston engine aircraft from hangar 3 to the much bigger hangar 2. The company has taken this step in response to the newest requirements as a result of the good order situation and numerous customer inquiries.

As of now, this relocation offers more space for the maintenance and repair of piston-operated types of aircraft. Multiple orders can be worked on simultaneously, consequently reducing the waiting periods to a minimum. In terms of service orientation and with winter approaching, it is important for the company to be able to place as many aircraft inside to be safe from wind and weather.

Augsburg Air Service has successfully relocated the department of piston engine aircraft from hangar 3 to the much bigger hangar 2.

Prior to the planned change of hangars, extensive renovations were completed. "This step was necessary, as our customer base in the piston segment is continuously growing. This is most notable with commission work on Diamond and Cirrus aircraft. For example, overhauling the Cirrus CAPS parachute, which is offered exclusively by us in Germany”, explains Florian Kohlmann, Managing Director Augsburg Air Service, "this is what we happily invest in."

Moreover, the extended space allows us to expand our range of services and add larger piston engine types shortly to our capability list, e.g. the Diamond DA-62.

By the way, the former piston hangar 3 is still being used for internal operations. However, we would like you to go to hangar 2. The existing business contacts, Markus Pöschel and Florian Rogner remain unchanged.
