3-blade MTV-12 now certified for Piper’s PA-34-200 Seneca
Atting, July 2022- MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the FAA STC SA00037IB for the 3-blade MTV-12-B-C-F/CF(L)183-59( ) on the PA-34-200 (Seneca I) powered by Lycoming IO-360-C1E6, LIO-360-C1E6. This installation is already certified by EASA STC 10076572.
MT Propeller’s 3-blade MTV-12 prop is now certified for being retrofitted to Piper’s PA-34-200 Seneca aircraft.
MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says, that the installation features the following advantages:
- Best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations
- Bonded on stainless steel leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades
- Take-off distance slightly improved
- Up to 20 lbs less weight than the original propeller
- Unlimited blade life
- Increased ground clearance for less blade tip erosion
- No rpm vibration restriction
