News

AAL AG, based in Altenrhein, Switzerland, has been the sole shareholder of the aircraft painting company Egli Paint GmbH, also based in Altenrhein, since July 1st, 2024.Since its foundation in 2006, Egli Paint GmbH has earned an outstanding reputation for all painting work on business and special mission aircraft as well as aircraft components. Aircraft painting complements perfectly the range of services offered by the company group, which includes Atlas Air Service AG in Bremen and Ganderkesee, Augsburg Air Service GmbH and AAL AG in Altenrhein.

Last year, Egli Paint moved into a new paint hangar at the St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport, not only creating more work space but also installing environmentally protecting air filtration systems. The hangar now offers space for aircraft up to the size of an Embraer Praetor, Gulfstream 280, Cessna Longitude, Challenger 350 or Pilatus PC24. The company paints new and pre-owned aircraft from Swiss and various international manufacturers.

The employees of Egli Paint GmbH have many years of experience and will continue to be led by their Operations Manager Stefan Koch after the takeover by AAL. Natascha Rode, Managing Director of AAL AG and Egli Paint GmbH: "With Stefan Koch and the new paint hangar, Egli Paint can continue to grow. Stefan has been a recognized expert in aircraft painting for more than 20 years and brings with him a wealth of experience. Egli Paint has always reliably met the highest quality standards and we will continue to do so.”

Nicolas von Mende, CEO of Atlas Air Service AG, adds: "Egli Paint is a logical addition to the group's range of services. The aircraft maintenance facilities in Altenrhein, Augsburg, Bremen and Ganderkesee, with a total of almost 300 employees, can now also offer the painting of aircraft and components within the group. The European fleet of business jets is constantly ageing; a new paint job makes pre-owned aircraft more attractive and thus contributes to sustainability. With Egli Paint, we can not only offer excellent quality from Switzerland, but also reduce the downtime by synchronizing painting and maintenance."
