Two more FAA STCs for different prop designs

Atting, July 2026 - MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH have received the FAA STC SA12438IB for the installation of their "Silent 7" 7-blade propeller MTV-37-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR205-353( ) in Piper’s PA46-600TP and PA46-701TP aircraft, powered by the Pratt & Whitney propeller turbines PT6A-42A in PA-46-600TP and PT6A-52 in PA-46-701TP. This installation is already supplemental type certified by EASA’s STC 10089486.
MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH have received the FAA STC SA12438IB for the installation of their "Silent 7" 7-blade propeller MTV-37-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR205-353( ) in Piper’s PA46-600TP and PA46-701TP aircraft.
MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says that the installation features the following advantages in this case:
- Shorter take-off distance by approx. -10 % (SL, ISA conditions)
- Enhanced climb performance by approx. 5 % (SL, ISA conditions)
- Cruise performance increased by 2-3 KTAS
- Significant inside and outside noise reductions
- Comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010 - „Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung“ for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries!
The long-time proven MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of a FOD.
They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.
In a further development, also dated July 2026, MT-Propeller have also received the FAA STC SA12421IB for the installation of their 3-blade natural composite propeller MTV-12-B/180-59( ) in the Mooney’s M20 models M20A, M20B, M20C, M20D,powered by Lycoming’s O-360-A1A / O-360-A1D (M20A, B, C), O-360-A1D / O-360-A2D (M20D) engines. This installation, too has already been certified by EASA’s STC 10088863.
In a further development, also dated July 2026, MT-Propeller have also received the FAA STC SA12421IB for the installation of their 3-blade natural composite propeller MTV-12-B/180-59( ) in the Mooney’s M20 models M20A, M20B, M20C, M20D.
