At this year’s AERO show in Friedrichshafen, Germany the team of KAPI, along with the representatives of German avionics manufacturer f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS will present the latest features of their flight assistance system (FAS) while also providing an exclusive outlook for planned future developments.

The FAS, also known as “non tower flight operations” is a pathbreaking solution to assist operators at airfields for public or restricted use.

The FAS, also known as “non tower flight operations” is a pathbreaking solution to assist operators at airfields for public or restricted use.

Around the clock, this system offers pilots information regarding take-offs and landings by using the latest technology.

A synthetic phonetic output, which provides essential information to optimize the radio communication between cockpit and ground station, is a central feature of the FAS.

Thanks to its modular design, the system can be expanded to improve the radio range in areas with restricted radio coverage. Up-to-date airfield information is available to airfield operators and pilots at any time by way of web access or app.
