FAA STC for 3-blade MT-Propeller
Atting, June 2026 - MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH received the FAA STC SA04463NY for the installation of the 3-blade propeller MTV-9-B/198-52 on the Piper PA-28-235 Cherokee Pathfinder powered by the engines Lycoming O-540-B1B5 or Lycoming O-540-B4B5.
MT-Propeller received the FAA STC for the installation of their 3-blade propeller on the Piper PA-28-235 Cherokee Pathfinder.
This installation is already certified by EASA STC 10062339 R1.
According to MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht the installation features the following advantages:
Enhanced climb performance by approx. 5 % (MTOW, SL, ISA conditions)
Enhanced cruise performance by 2 to 3 kts (MTOW, ISA conditions)
Unlimited blade life
Significant inside and outside noise reduction
FOD repairable blades
The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades.
