Atting, March 2026 - MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH received the EASA STC 10088138, FAA STC SA12273IB and TCCA STC SA26-25 for the installation of the scimitar 3-blade MTV-9-D/198-52() propeller on the Cirrus Model SR22 powered by a Lycoming IO-550-N engine.

This installation is also supplemental type certified in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and New Zealand.

MT-Propeller received the EASA, FAA, and TCCA STCc for the installation of the scimitar 3-blade MTV-9-D/198-52() propeller on the Cirrus Model SR22.

MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says that the installation features the following advantages:

• Enhanced take-off distance by approx. -7 % (MTOW, SL, ISA)

• Enhanced climb by approx. 3% (MTOW, ISA)

• Cruise performance increased by approx. 3 to 4 kts (Mid GW, ISA)

• Approx. 20 lbs less weight than the original aluminum propellers

• Inside noise is reduced by 3 to 4 dB(A)

The long-time proven MT-Propeller light weight natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of a FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades.
