TX56 now STC’d by EASA
26th June 2025 - Trig Avionics, a European manufacturer of avionics who had recently announced their merger with Dynon Avionics, a U.S.- based leader in avionics systems for light aircraft, have reported the receipt of an EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for their slimline TX56 Nav/Com.
This should open the door for wider installation options across Europe, enabling the installation of the TX56 family for both VFR and IFR operations.
This STC covers Trig’s TX56, TX56A, TX57 and TX57A Nav/Com units with a comprehensive Approved Model List (AML) covering over 650 general aviation fixed-wing types, as well as support for autopilot integration and both legacy and modern VOR/ILS systems – including Trig’s TI106.
Trig Avionics, a European manufacturer of avionics, have reported the receipt of an EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for their slimline TX56 Nav/Com.
Furthermore, Trig Avionics is offering significant savings on its popular TX56 Nav/Com and TI106 CDI by running a summer sale.
At just 33mm tall, the TX56 is a compact NAV/COM radio packed with features. Designed as a direct replacement for legacy units such as the KX155, KX165, or SL30, it brings modern capability to any cockpit:
• Dual Watch functionality on both the COM and NAV
• Trig’s signature ‘Say Again’ feature – replay the last received transmission
• Digital CDI for on-screen guidance
• VOR, LOC, and Glideslope support when paired with the TI106 CDI
• Compatibility with both legacy and modern CDI/HSI units
Now, with FAA and EASA STCs in place — and an Approved Model List covering over 650 aircraft types — the TX56 can be installed with confidence across a broad range of certified airframes. TI106 – The Perfect Companion Matched seamlessly to the TX56, the TI106 is a modern, lightweight 3" CDI. It offers a crisp, intuitive readout and is the ideal partner for the TX56, especially for IFR operations.
Throughout July and August 2025, Trig is offering a 370,- EUR discount on the TX56. When paired with the TI106, customers will save an additional 370,- EUR, enabling them to take advantage of a total savings of up to 720,- EUR. Ideal for clients wishing to retrofit or build a new panel.
