Advice to AEROMARKT readers
We have recently received evidence of one or several prospective aircraft buyers who respond to insertions of aircraft for sale. The scam is always the same: a prospective buyer, often from the Middle East or from Asia, agrees a sale price with the vendor and subsequently sends a cheque for a higher amount than was originally agreed for the purchase. We would like to advise our readers and clients that this procedure may suggest dubious business practise and/or constitute a violation of anti-money-laundry legislation. Do not cash such cheques unless you have reassured yourself thoroughly of the bona fide of such potential buyers.
