MT Propeller: New 3-blade MT-Propeller

EASA STC for Diamond DA 42 series

Atting, December 2019. German Prop manufacturer MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH received the EASA STC 10071632 REV 1 for the installation of the new scimitar design 3-blade hydraulically actuated constant speed propeller MTV-6-( )-C-F/190-69( ) on the Diamond DA-42() aircraft series powered by two Technify Motors GmbH TAE 125-01, TAE 125-02-99, TAE 125-02-114 or Austro Engine GmbH 4E-B. The FAA STC is in progress.



MT-Propeller have received the EASA STC for the installation of their new 3-blade MT-Propeller MTV-6 for improved performance with newest scimitar blades like on all new DA42 manufactured versions.

MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says, that the installation features the following advantages:

- Best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operations.

- No engine modifications.

- Ground roll & takeoff distance over 50 ft obstacle is reduced by approx. 40 m (131 ft).

- Climb performance improvedby 10%.

- Very smooth cruising - 2 to 3 kts more speed (Technify).

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD.
