MT Propeller: 3-blade props

for Piper PA-28R(T) series

Atting, December 2019. German Prop manufacturer MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH have received the EASA STC 10071833 for the 3-blade natural composite propeller MTV-12-B/188-59( ) on the Piper PA-28R(T) series, powered by the engine series IO-360-B, IO-360-C or IO-360-C. The FAA STC is in progress.



MT-Propeller have received the EASA STC for the installation of their new 3-blade natural composite propeller MTV-12-B/188-59( ) on aircraft of the Piper PA-28R(T) series.

MT-Propeller President Gerd Muehlbauer says, that the installation features the following advantages:

- Shorter take-off distance by approx. -5 % (SL, ISA conditions)

- Enhanced climb and cruise performance by approx. 5 to 10% (SL, ISA conditions)

- Enhanced cruise performance up to 4 kts (MTOW, ISA conditions)

- Up to 10 kg lighter than the original propeller

- With “max. Engine Speed 2400 rpm” the airplane complies with “Erhöhter Schallschutz” for Germany

- Unbeatable esthetic ramp appeal

- Cooler CHTs by up to 35°C (95°F)

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel erosiion protection sheats for best erosion protection of the blades.
