New ICAO VFR charts for Germany
Now including a depiction of IFR final approaches
04.03.2021 – Every year, German Air Traffic Control DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH issues a new ICAO 1:500.000 scale aeronautical chart. The official chart for VFR flying in Germany, the charts will be effective as of March 25, 2021 this year.
What’s new in 2021 is that IFR final approaches for major airports are shown on those VFR charts now to help VFR pilots navigate in the vicinity of dense IFR traffic, thus increasing flight safety in E class airspace.
