The only fly-in for electric and hybrid powered aircraft in Europe will be held for the fifth time at Grenchen Airport on 11 & 12 September.

All visitors can once again look forward to an attractive program – get in touch with electric aircraft, get to know the latest news about “modern” aviation at the exhibition, follow exciting lectures at the symposium and take part in the eTrophy award ceremony.

Das The only fly-in for electric and hybrid powered aircraft in Europe will be held for the fifth time at the Swiss airport of Grenchen on September 11 & 12, 2021.

For the third time, flight teams are invited to participate in the eTrophy; the competition for the longest electric and/or hybrid flight distance travelled to Grenchen. Thanks to the generous event sponsor WATERjet AG from Aarwangen, prize money for the top-placed finishers is in sight.

Will Klaus Ohlmann be able to defend his title? Or will the winner of 2019, the Czech team led by Martin Stepanek, be at the front again?

The rules of the challenge will be adapted and three eTrophies will be awarded accordingly. Registered aircraft will fly in three categories: electric-powered aircraft, hybrid-powered aircraft and gliders (see here full details on the rules).

This year’s eTALK is dedicated to the theme “Generation Y – next step in aviation” and is led by our ambassador Dominique Gisin. The panel discussion with young people from different fields will shed light on aspects of electric aviation. It will be exciting to find out what the attraction is to continue to be involved in aviation, to become a pilot or to choose another profession in this industry. What are today’s challenges, the prerequisites and expectations of today’s generation? This stimulating eTALK awaits you on Saturday afternoon.

Dominique Gisin will lead this year’s eTALK which is dedicated to the theme “Generation Y – next step in aviation”.

The organising committee is also particularly pleased about the cooperation with the REGA training base in Grenchen, because the new REGA Hangar will be the location used for the various events such as the symposium, the eTALK and also the networking event – a suitable, modern and centrally located space for these events. A big thank you to REGA for this valuable support.
