Brilliant start for AERO 2022

Great exhibitor demand recorded

October 26, 2021 | Friedrichshafen – The large number of registrations for the AERO 2022 (April 27-30, 2022) underscores the importance of the show for the international industry. The restart after the Corona crisis and the challenges of the future for General Aviation will be the focus of AERO 2022, which will again feature many innovations. A comprehensive conference program will accompany the 30th edition of the trade show on Lake Constance.

From April 27 to 30, 2022, the aviation industry will once again meet in Friedrichshafen for AERO 2022, after the trade show was unable to take place in the past two years due to restrictions during the Corona crisis. The organizers see a great demand for exhibition space and have already received binding stand bookings from many important manufacturers, service providers and organizations.

AERO Division Manager Roland Bosch and Project Manager Tobias Bretzel report: "We are delighted about the great response to AERO 2022 and recognize that the demand for face-to-face meetings is enormously high after two forced breaks. As a result, the level of registrations is already significantly higher than at the comparable time for the record-breaking AERO in 2019."

Manufacturers who have already confirmed their participation in AERO 2022 include: Cirrus Aircraft, Diamond Aircraft Industries, Tecnam, Piper Aircraft or Flight Design, amongst others.

"The bookings show how much people are looking forward to meeting in person again to learn about innovations, exchange information and initiate business deals," said Tobias Bretzel. As the largest trade show for General Aviation in Europe, AERO is of paramount importance for the industry. The trade show on Lake Constance traditionally attracts an international and highly qualified trade audience - at AERO 2019, around 60 percent of visitors had a pilot's license.

Walter Da Costa, Chief Sales Officer bei Tecnam, said: “Tecnam is excited to be exhibiting at AERO once again. We are looking forward to showing our broad range of aircraft and innovative solutions. We can’t wait to meet again in Friedrichshafen with our existing and potential customers.”

AERO 2022 is all about the industry's restart after the pandemic, and the topic of sustainability in aviation will also play a central role. The upcoming edition will offer a complete range of products for all areas of General Aviation. Aircraft ranging from civil drones to gliders, ultralights and gyrocopters, helicopters, touring and training aircraft with piston or turboprop engines and business jets will be present. New propulsion systems, electric flight, state-of-the-art avionics, services and accessories for pilots are further focal points. These topics are also reflected in the AERO Conferences, making Europe's largest general aviation event also an important platform for knowledge exchange and continuing education.
