5-blade prop available from MT
Piper PA-46-500TP
Atting, May 2022 - MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the ANAC Brazil STC 2022S04-05 for the Quiet Fan Jet 5-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR203-58d on the PA-46-500TP powered by the propeller turbine P&WC PT6A-42A.
This installation is also EASA certified by STC # 10047226 and FAA certified by STC SA03446NY.
Piper PA 46-500 equipped with MT’s Quiet Fan Jet 5-blade scimitar composite propeller.
MT-Propeller President Gerd Mühlbauer says that the propeller installation provides
- General performance improvement (10% shorter take-off distance, 4% better climb Performance, 3 kts faster in cruise)
- Approx. 3 lbs less weight than the original metal propeller
- Cooler ITT on ground with condition lever at low and high idle position
- No propeller speed restrictions on ground while operating in low idle, possibility to reduce Ng to 57% for better ground handling
- More ground clearance => less FODs
- All models comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010–„Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung“ for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries.
- The long time proven MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD.
- They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.
